Follow this step-by-step guide to create your account, set up the mobile app, fund your trading, and begin copying top performers.
Opening your Deriv Nakala account
To use Deriv Nakala, you’ll first need a registered Deriv.com account and a Deriv MT5 Standard account.
- Sign up or sign in on Deriv.com
- If you do not yet have an account, click on the “Open account” button and follow the instructions to set up your account.
- If you already have a Deriv account, log in to your account and head to Trader’s Hub.
- Set up your real MT5 Standard account.
- If you don’t yet have a real Deriv MT5 Standard account, locate this account type on the CFDs section of your Trader’s Hub and click on “Get”. Follow the on-screen instructions to finalise the account set-up.
- If you have a real Deriv MT5 Standard account already, click on “Open” next to your account to see your account details.
- Download Deriv Nakala app
- Find ‘Deriv Nakala’ on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Install and open the app.

- Register or sign in
- Tap ‘Create Your Profile’ to register.
- Use your Deriv-registered email address for signing up.

- Verify your email
- Look for a verification email. Click the link to confirm your account.
Setting up the mobile app
Once you’ve registered, complete your profile and connect your trading account.
Personalise your profile:
- Tap the profile icon to set your display name, add a profile picture, write a short bio, and add any website or social media links. Setting a unique Signal Name allows you to be visible if you want to become a signal provider in future.

Link your trading account:
Go to ‘Account’ > ‘Link Account’.
Enter your Deriv MT5 Standard account details (including trading password, not investor password) and select the correct server. Then select whether you want to be a copier or signal provider.

Once you’ve linked your account successfully, your status will say “copying” which means your account is live and can copy.
How to fund your trading account
Before starting to copy trades, ensure your trading account is funded and ready.
- Deposit funds:
- Log in to your account on deriv.com
- Go to ‘Cashier’ and choose your preferred deposit method.
- Complete the deposit and wait for the funds to appear in your Deriv wallet.
- Transfer to MT5:
- Move funds from your main account to your Deriv MT5 Standard account using the ‘Transfer’ feature next to your account.
- Ensure the required amount is available in MT5 to copy trades on Nakala.
Finding and copying traders
Discover successful signal providers and start copying their trades with just a few taps.
- Visit the Discover section to view available signal providers and search or select a trader to copy.
- Tap on a provider’s profile for detailed performance history and strategy overview.
- Review provider’s terms and modify your copy settings. On this page you can also set your desired trade sizes. Lastly, confirm and activate copying—trades will be mirrored to your account automatically.
- Lastly, select ‘OK’ to continue or click on “Max drawdown” to set soft stop and hard stop settings.
- Monitor and manage:
- Use the ‘Positions’ tab to track open trades and profit/loss.
- Pause, adjust, or stop copying any provider anytime.
