Deriv supports the Beautiful Gate Foundation

When compassion is put into action, remarkable things happen. Deriv recently had the privilege of partnering with the Beautiful Gate Foundation in Kampar, reinforcing our commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and meaningful support for people with disabilities.
Building dignity through community care – September 2025
The day began with a warm welcome from Ms. Penny, the Centre Manager of Beautiful Gate Foundation. Living with cerebral palsy and using a wheelchair, Ms. Penny leads with inspiring clarity, vision, and determination. She is a true embodiment of the foundation’s spirit of resilience and empowerment.
The centre operates as a self-sustained hub for independence, supporting residents with diverse disabilities. From caring for children with intellectual challenges to recycling efforts, hand-crafted goods, and home-based piecework, Beautiful Gate thrives on creativity and self-reliance. Its programmes help residents develop practical skills, generate income, and build confidence in their abilities. Yet, despite its resourcefulness, the centre’s success depends heavily on the generosity of public support and community partnerships.
Working hand in hand with Beautiful Gate
Deriv volunteers rolled up their sleeves to contribute in practical and heartfelt ways. They cleaned communal spaces, assembled new furniture, and set up a MacBook for residents’ use.
Volunteers joined board games that encouraged teamwork and exchanged personal experiences with adults who spoke candidly about their journeys of resilience. These moments showed the importance of friendship and encouragement in building a sense of belonging.
Residents welcomed our team with warmth, while volunteers were inspired by the determination and optimism they witnessed in return.
Donations that make a difference
As part of our collaboration, Deriv donated a MacBook, four wheelchairs (two motorised and two manual), essential cleaning supplies, and ten brand-new bedroom sets. Our employees also contributed pre-loved items, extending the impact of our collective support. These contributions not only met immediate needs but also strengthened the foundation’s ability to encourage independence and dignity among its residents. For many, a wheelchair or a new bed is more than an object; it is a tool for daily comfort and mobility, a reminder that the wider community values their wellbeing.
Sustaining hope through partnership
At Beautiful Gate Foundation, every small act of care adds up to something greater, a community built on dignity, kindness, and shared strength. For our team, the most meaningful moments were not the new furniture or laptops, but the smiles over lunch, the stories exchanged, and the confidence we saw in residents taking pride in their independence.
At Deriv, inclusion is not a project but a way of life. Across our global offices, Deriv teams have joined hands with local organisations to nurture that same spirit.
In Dubai, we partnered with the Dubai Centre for Special Needs to empower students of determination, while in Rwanda, our volunteers supported inclusive education at Tubiteho School. Each initiative looks different, yet they all reflect our shared belief in building communities where everyone belongs.
We are grateful for the chance to walk alongside the Beautiful Gate Foundation and look forward to continuing this journey of hope, resilience, and belonging together.
